About  Commissions

How do they work?

So , there's two ways in which I am usually approached for commissions.

Firstly, some one sees an item in the gallery or shop and asks if I can do it in alternative style or colour etc. In this instance it depends whether I have another of the item or similar in stock or whether I can source one.

Secondly, I am approached to revamp a piece of furniture belonging to yourself.

 In both cases once a "brief" is agreed upon in writing,  I supply a minimum and maximum quotation for work and materials. If it is acceptable then I request 50% of the average of the quotation in advance.

Should the brief we agree on change thus affecting the costings this will be reflected in the pricing and only be changed once this is agreed.

 Its a collaborative process , one that I find very enjoyable and I hope you will too.

Please note that transport costs/ arrangements of the item need to be discussed and priced separately.
